Check Box Label not supporting special characters



A checkbox label with special characters gets decoded and displays incorrectly, while assigning the checkbox label dynamically using 'pycaption'.

For example,

The label 'Policy(Other)', displays as 'Policy (Other&#40'.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a case.
  2. Assign a checkbox label dynamically in the section. Click Submit. Ensure the label contains special characters (for example, Policy(Other)).

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Encoding error in the StreamBuilder.FMT_NORMAL argument in the getLocalizedTextForString function call (at line 232) in the pzLPImageCatalog file.


Apply HFix-35340.
