Root Cause

A third-party product issue.

In the current Internet Explorer browser, 'Tablet PC' displays in a User agent string when the browser runs on Hybrid laptops (that is, laptop with touch-enabled display).
Since Pega application displays a Slide checkbox for a Tablet based device (which is based on the browser User agent string), the latest Internet Explorer update returns Tablet in the browser's User agent.

Perform the following local-change:

In the Internet Explorer 11.1304.17134.0 browser, the User agent is always sent with a Tablet for touch-enabled computers and tablets. Hence, the user cannot determine if the system is a tablet or a computer.

Currently, the Internet Explorer browser does not provide a method to distinguish between Touchable Windows computer and Windows tablet. Hence, the user cannot modify the platform specifically for Hybrid laptops.

As a local-change, use the below script in the UserWorkForm to display a checkbox:

    if(navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf("windows")!=-1 && !navigator.userAgent.match(/Windows Phone/i)){
