Class To Delete:Not a Valid Class error on deleting class name



A few classes which the user has access to, do not display on the dropdown while using the Delete A Class wizard. User manually inputs the class name. However, this results in an error when the user deletes the class name.

Steps to Reproduce

Delete a class using a wizard.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error. The class that is deleted is mapped to an external table. 


Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior: The classes mapped to external tables cannot be deleted using the Delete A Class wizard as per the help documentation,

Perform the following local-change to delete the desired class:
  1. Manually remove the Data-Admin-DB-Table instance that links the class to the external table 
  2. Delete the class using the Delete A Class wizard
