Class does not show in app explorer

When viewing class A-B- in the app explorer, child class A-B-C does not show in the explorer.

The class is available through the smart prompt of the app explorer. Issue exists in both 7.1.5 and 7.1.6.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

Use app explorer to display classes for A-B-

Root Cause

For A-B-C class Find by pattern first option is not selected. It is not a BUG and Pega 7 is working as designed.

In Pega 7.1 an autocomplete mechanism was introduced where only best bet classes are shown in app explorer.

Here is how inheritance will work

1. Pattern: only the classes with Find by name first (Pattern) option selected.
2. Directed: Only the direct inheritance classes will be shown.

A-B is the class selected in autocomplete

Now to show A-B-C class in the app explorer as decendents, need to do the following

1. Select the Find by name first (Pattern) option.(When pattern inheritance option is selected in app explorer)

2. Provide  A-B class in the direct inheritance option of class A-B-C or in the super class of the class that provided here. Otherwise app explorer will not show it there. (For direct inheritance)
