Clear text shown in password field of WS-Security profile



The set password dialog shows the entered password in clear text, readable to anyone who are watching the screen.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to: Records > Security > WS-Security Profile > OutFlow.
  2. Click on the Password Box.
  3. When you type a password in it is displayed in clear text. It does not asterisk-out what you are typing.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Install HFix-26454.
