Create (+) Menu shows multiple items

Summary



User is using Pega 7.1.8 with Pega Customer Service (CS) 7.1.4.

User had created some Case Types and while clicking the Create menu, one case type appeared multiple times. In the application rule,  'Cases & data' tab, only one case type is selected.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce



Click on the Create link and try to choose a case type.


Root Cause



Starting flows logic had a few issues which happened to be the root cause. 
  • None of the classes mentioned in 'Cases & data' tab of Application rule had case type (pyDefault) defined.
  • Framework class mentioned in Application rule's 'Case & data' tab was parent for another class (which did not have a case type pyDefault defined and rule resolution was picking framework class's pyDefault instead). So the starting flow gets added again.

Resolution


 

Revised ProcessList for StartingFlows to remove duplicates.

Apply HFix-30680 to resolve issue.
