Custom Job Schedulers do not start

Summary



On creating a custom Job Scheduler, it does not display on the Jobs landing page in the Admin Studio. Additionally, Job Schedulers from the Customer Service application (for example, Knowledge Management (KM)) do not run on the system.

Root Cause



The 'Context > Specify access group' field is to select the access group to execute the activity. However, to add the job, the Job Scheduler must be created in the ruleset for which ASYNCPROCESSOR Requestor type has access to.

For example,
  1. Create the activity in App1RS RuleSet which is accessed only from App1AG access group.
  2. Create the Job Scheduler in App1jobRS RuleSet which is accessed only from App1jobAG access group. Set the 'Context > Specify access group' to 'App1AG'.

    Note: App1AG does not have access to App1jobRS, and App1jobAG has no access to App1RS.

     
  3. Configure ASYNCPROCESSOR Requestor Type with AG App1jobAG.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Create the Job Scheduler in the ruleset to which ASYNCPROCESSOR Requestor type has access to.
