Custom tooltips do not display after report upgrade

Summary



In a PRPC 6.2 SP2 application, list views were configured with custom column formatting containing tooltips.




After upgrading a report to a report definition sourced from a repeat grid, the custom tooltips do not display.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a list view in a legacy PRPC release with a custom format control to display an icon with a tooltip.
  2. Update the design to use a report definition with repeat grid.

Root Cause

The custom formatting control was using an ALT attribute to display the tooltip.




Resolution



Add a title attribute to the custom formatting control to display the tooltip.
