Data Type import does not handle unique values in a data table

Summary



PSQLException error in the logs when the ‘key’ is selected from a unique column in the data type in the database. This does not occur when importing data with duplicate column values in the database.


Error Messages



SQLState 23505, Error code 0: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a table with one of the columns having a unique value constraint on it, and one or more properties as class key values
  2. Import the CSV file with duplicate values for that column and click Upload.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution

Apply HFix-35763.
