Database exceptions generated in Pega logs

Summary



Exceptions are generated in Pega logs when an agent is running.


Error Messages



com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeException: caught DatabaseException while trying to open conclusion Property!PXRDBERROR: Database-General Problem encountered when getting connection for database pegarules 0 08003 This connection has been closed.
DatabaseException caused by prior exception: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: This connection has been closed.

Steps to Reproduce



Not Applicable


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
Tomcat jdbc/PegaRULES data source connection pool handed a failed connection to the Pega application.



Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment:

Update jdbc/PegaRULES data source with the below custom properties.

testOnBorrow="true"
testOnConnect="true"
testOnReturn="true"
testWhileIdle="true"
