Date format changes after Section Refresh

SA-79252

Summary

Multiple read-only Date fields lose their specified Date formatting on Section Refresh.
After a Section Refresh, the read-only Date fields revert to 'mmm dd, yyyy hh:mm:ss' format, despite being configured using a different format (MM/DD/YYYYY).

Error Messages

Cannot create format "Date-Short-Custom-YYYY", default format is used
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Illegal pattern character 't'

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure the Date format on a Date control.
  2. Select the desired format (MM/DD/YYYYY).
  3. Configure a declare expression on a property.
  4. Use this property for the Date control.
  5. Perform a section refresh. The format changes after the refresh occurs.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The affected Date fields had declare expressions configured on them. When the declare expression was triggered, incorrect formatting was applied.

Resolution

Apply HFix-53097.
