Initial Date format - mm/dd/yyyy (example 05/06/2017)
After validation failure - m/d/yyyy (example 5/6/2017)

Set initial Date format - mm/dd/yyyy (example 05/06/2017)
After validation failure date automatically changes to - m/d/yyyy (example 5/6/2017)
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: After validation error, the chosen read-only date format is not retained.
Resolution
This is working as expected. Since the invalid date can be any string, the read-only format cannot be guaranteed.
