Date property is exposed as VARCHAR2 data type in the database

Summary



When you expose a property of type "Date" to a database table column, Pega creates the database table column as a VARCHAR2 data type. You want to know the reason for this behavior.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a property of type "Date".
  2. Expose the property.
  3. Observe the data type of the database table's newly-created column.

The behavior is correct.
