Summary
An AES 7.1.7 system has been installed on Pega7.1.7 using a MS SQL Server database.
The AES system appears to work; however, there are many occurrences of the error message in the log file.
Error Messages
Operand type clash datetime2 is incompatible with tinyint
Problem #1, SQLState S0002, Error code 206: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: conflict of operand types: datetime2 is incompatible with tinyint
Steps to Reproduce
The issue can only be replicated when running AES 7.1.7 on a MS SQL Server database.
Start the server and the error appears in the log file when the administrator starts to navigate in the AES portal..
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules that affects the MS SQL Server Date column type
Resolution
Apply HFix-26993.
Alternatively, update or upgrade to Pega 7.1.8 or later release.
