DateTimeDifference function returns incorrect values

Summary

DateTimeDifference function returns different results for DateTime values that are less than 24 hours apart on using precision to the day.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade from Pega 7.1.9 to Pega 8.2.2
  2. Call the DateTimeDifference function for two DateTime values that are less than 24 hours apart using 'D' as the precision parameter


Root Cause



A backwards compatibility defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. A function incorrectly calculated a value in Pega 7.1.9 and was updated in newer releases.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Adjust the application functionality that utilizes the function to account for the new behavior.
