DDS nodes are offline due to lack of disk space

In Pega 7.4, the Adaptive Decision Manager (ADM) responses are stored in the adm_commitlog keyspace Cassandra. This uses additional disk space which is not released for long periods of time or on a predictable basis, even when the data is used. Hence, the Decision Data Store (DDS) (Cassandra) nodes are offline due to lack of disk  space.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Store the ADM responses in the adm_commitlog keyspace Cassandra.

Root Cause

The default Compaction strategy, Time to Live, and Grace period settings of the adm_commitlog tables were not originally set to ensure timely and predictable reclamation of the disk space used by ADM responses.
