Declare index is not executed in certain cases

SA-14355

Summary

Issue 1:
A Declare Index rule is configured but does not execute when a case is transferred.

Issue 2:
A Declare Index rule is configured for a page list. It executes successfully when the case is updated but not when the case is created.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Issue 1:
  1. Create a Declare Index rule with an embedded page as the source page context.
  2. Create a new case and transfer it to another user.
Issue 2:
  1. Create a Declare Index rule with a page list as the source page context.
  2. Create a new case.
  3. Update the case.

Root Cause

Issue 1:
The Declare Index did not execute during the transfer process because none of the properties in the context path changed. The properties that changed were those referenced by 'top' in the Declare Index rule.

Issue 2:
The mergeUserPropertiesIntoWorkPage function was used in a Data Transform to copy the data from one page to another.

Resolution

Issue 1:
Local-change is to modify the Declare Index rule so the context is the work object instead of the embedded page.

Issue 2:
Local-change is to modify the Data Transform rule to call the mapping activity instead of using the merge function.
