Declare_CaseTree fails during a service call

Unable to use the Declare_CaseTree data page in a SOAP service activity.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a SOAP service.
  2. Refer to the Declare_CaseTree data page in the service activity and check the contents.
  3. Make a service call from the SOAP UI.

Root Cause

This behavior is as per Pega product design.

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The SOAP service is initiated using the SOAP UI. The Declare_CaseTree data page is referred in the service activity. The DeclarativeLoadCaseHierarchy activity is the source of the data page. And, the DeclarativeLoadCaseHierarchy activity logic depends on the application system page.

As it is a SOAP Call, the Application Requestor does not have sufficient permissions to access system pages (such as, Application, Access Group).
