DecryptPW() function does not work as expected



An external system password must be stored in Pega in an encrypted format and shared in a decrypted format in response to a Service SOAP call.

The below functions are used to encrypt and decrypt the password.


When using the functions configured in a data transform for SOAP Service mapping, the DecryptPW() function does not work correctly.

Root Cause

By default, the encryptPW() function added '\t' to the password provided.


Perform the following local-change:

Make the below changes to use the encryptPW and decryptPW functions.

For encryption: @(Pega-RULES:Utilities).encryptPW("rules")
For decryption: @ (PegaRULES:Utilities).decryptPW("\t{pr}ofOmmosVx5De2zLZODWHY4WmfgZvmEVSl6zeN8E52qE=")
