Delete a Class - Unable to delete instances

SA-12332

Summary

The “Delete Class” wizard is generating an exception when trying to delete an existing “Wok-“ class.
The error on the screen is the following:

But the error on the log is giving us more information.

Error Messages

"Caused by: com.pega.pegarules.pub.generator.RuleNotFoundException: Failed to find a 'RULE-OBJ-WHEN' with the name 'PZFCMRCANPUBLISH' that applies to 'PegaSample-Test'; no rules with this name were found in the rulebase."

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use the delete wizard to delete a “Work-“ class
  2. Error generated

Root Cause

The error message on the log is clearly searching for a WHEN rule which doesn’t exist. Said WHEN rule is coming from CPMFS installation (step10) by deploying “pzFCMR_7_1_2 jar file”. But the jar file hasn’t been installed. It is actually not mandatory to install it.

Resolution

There is two options in order to solve this problem.
The first one is to create an empty version of the WHEN rule in order to continue the execution.
And the second one is, if the Administrator has installed CPMFS without FCM (if do not want to use it) by skipping the FCM installation, to check the CPMFS application and remove the references to the FCM & IAC rule-sets.
