Deleted attachments appearing in search content



Knowledge Management (KM) was used on Pega 7.1.9. Editing and deleting attachments does not work as expected. The search result in the portal displays the new and deleted attachment.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a content, attach a spreadsheet, and publish the content.
  2. Search the content from the user portal to verify that the spreadsheet is available from the content.
  3. Return to the KM portal, edit the content, delete the attachment, add a separate attachment, and publish the case.
  4. Search for the content from the user portal again.

Root Cause

Pega Pulse gadget was used to add or delete attachments from the content. Pega Pulse will not unlink attachments from the case when deleted.
