Difference in behavior between browser and Hybrid client on IOS

SA-14526

Summary

In a custom hybrid mobile client, users are incorrectly allowed to select form fields while the section is loading. This causes the keyboard to pop-up and drops down incorrectly.

Error Messages

No error message is displayed.  The iPad keyboard comes up and drops-down automatically.

Steps to Reproduce

Load harness in hybrid client with significant content.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: If a harness loads in the hybrid client with a lot of data (in this case huge drop-down tables), it is possible to get the cursor in a text field before some sections load. If those sections call a ReloadSection (pulse and attachment gadget do this), then it will take focus away from the text input, and this hides the keyboard and fires validation incorrectly.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Move the sections causing reload to a collapsible layout so that it does not load right away.
