DirectStreamReader does not exist errors after upgrade

After upgrading to Pega 7.1.7, for some Data Tables when a Report Definition is run, an Oracle exception is seen.

The same exception is not seen for all Data Tables.

Error Messages

** An error occured on executing the query for the report definition - There was a problem getting a list: code: 29540 SQLState: 99999 Message: ORA-29540: class com/pega/pegarules/data/udf/directstreamreader/DirectStreamReader does not exist

Steps to Reproduce

Run certain report definitions after upgrading to Pega 7.1.7.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the PRPC operating environment. UDFs were not present in the database.

This issue is resolved by making the following change to the PRPC operating environment:

1) On the database, drop any existing versions of the UDF functions on both the Data and Rules schemas:
pr_read_decimal_from_stream, pr_read_from_stream, pr_read_int_from_stream

2) Update from the distribution media to point to the database in question, being sure to specifiy both schemas.

3) Run the generateudf.bat or script in the scripts directory, with the following parameters:
generateudf --action install --dbType [db2zos|mssql|postgres|oracledate|udb]
