Disabled links are not displayed as per WCAG guidelines

Summary

Color contrast between the text and background for disabled elements such as buttons or links does not adhere to the WCAG guidelines. As a result, the links are unreadable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the Pega Platform.

  2. Switch to Dev Studio.

  3. Navigate to Configure > Org & Security > Tools > Security > Security Event Configuration

 

Root Cause

A software use or operation error.

 

Resolution

Here is the explanation for the reported behavior:

The color contrast of disabled links are different from that of active links. The active link is displayed in blue while a disabled link is displayed in gray with low opacity.

Hence the user should test the contrast only for active links. According to the W3C color contrast, 4:5:1 contrast standard is not required for disabled links, text, or buttons.
