DisplayReport harness does not work with compatibility view



An application is configured to run under compatibility view in Internet Explorer 11. Compatibility view is not supported by Pega 7. Therefore, the default document mode is overridden by the advanced harness setting.

This method fails to work for final harnesses such as DisplayReport.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enable compatibility view in Internet Explorer 11
  2. Load the application that has a shortcut configured to launch a report in a new window

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. Compatibility view is not supported in Pega 7. Methods to undo this setting at the application level has gaps and cannot be addressed in some use cases.


Use Enterprise Mode for legacy sites or applications to allow Internet Explorer 11 to use Pega 7 applications in its native default mode.
