Summary
Using WordMerge functionality through SilverLight includes HTML code in the documents.

Steps to Reproduce
- Install SilverLight.
- Run the WordMerge functionality.
Root Cause
HTML code was included in the documents when they (documents) were generated with blank property values.
The empty fields were deleted by the Word macro. This caused a syntax error as the Word template was still referring to the empty fields.
Resolution
Apply HFix-38612.
** Note: Follow the below steps to install the hotfix:
- Perform a full backup of the Database as the hotfix contains a number of dependent hotfixes.
- Install the hotfix using the Update Manager. Navigate to click the Pega button > System > Release > Hotfix Manager > Install the hotfix.
- Log out after the installation. Stop the application server and clear the Pega Temp Cache (mainly the 'Extract Marker' file).
- Clean the old WordMacroManagerDot.dot from the following location on the system:
C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates - Clean the Internet Explorer temporary files.
- Restart the application server.
- Clear the browser cache and log in to the application.
