D_pyChannelServices_Interaction error running CTI Wizard



An administrator notices that they are unable to execute CTI wizard for Pega Customer Service 7.21. An error is seen on screen during the proces.

Error Messages

The Flow Action post-processing activity ValidateCallPage failed. **Unable to load data page D_pyChannelServices_Interaction. Required parameters : Type,pyInteractionID. cannot be blank .

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run CTI configuration wizard.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: 'PopulateValuesToLinkDetails' activity calls obj-open-by-handle with the ‘Primary.pyLinkDefinition.pyLinkDefinitionName’ property which is aligned to an input field instead appropriate work handle.


Perform the following local-change:

1. CTITestConnectivity activity – Modify 1st step to Obj-Open-By-Hanlde and use “primary.pyLinkDefinition.pzInsKey” as instance handle

2. PopulateValuesToLinkDetails activity – Modify 1st step’s InstanceHanlde to “primary.pyLinkDefinition.pzInsKey”

3. TestingConnectivity activity –

a) add a new step after Step-2 as Property-Set
i) Set “Primary.pyLinkDefinition.pyStatusValue” to “LinkConfig.pyStatusValue”
ii) Set “Primary.pyLinkDefinition.pyStatusMessage” to “LinkConfig.pyStatusMessage”
b) Modify Page-Copy Step as CopyFrom to “LinkConfig.pyLinkStatus” & CopyInto to “Primary.pyLinkDefinition.pyLinkStatus”
