Drag & Drop feature fails to attach file

SA-30250

Summary

Drag and drop fails to work. No error messages presented to the user.

Error Messages

Viewing the browser console a Javascript Access Denied error can be found.

Steps to Reproduce

Use Out-of-the-box(OOTB) drag and drop attachments feature.

Root Cause

A HFix was installed which pulled other dependent HFixes.

One dependent
HFix-25595 delivered enhancements to the busy indicator which allows screen readers to announce a busy indicator is present for visually impaired users. The implementation of this feature did not take into consideration if the Pega application is embedded in an external app (for example .NET application), which would place Pega in an embedded iframe.

When the newly designed busy indicator attempted to be displayed the API used would try to cross iframes which would fail with an access is denied.

Resolution

Apply HFix-30402 which will correct the side effect introduced by HFix-25595.
