Dropdown control is empty when data page is the source



A report definition is configured as a data page source. On executing the report definition, all the required fields are selected and displayed correctly. However, when the defined data page acts as the source for a dropdown control, at runtime the dropdown is empty.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a data type.
  2. Create a report definition for data type.
  3. Create a data page with a reprot definition from Step 2 as the source.
  4. Source the data page to a dropdown control.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.


Perform the following local-change:

Change the Edit mode to 'Editable' which is in 'Read Only' in the data page.
