Dynamic Select error when referencing a Class Join property

Summary



Developer uses a Report Definition along with its class join feature to configure a Dynamic Select. When he references values of the class join column to show drop down values, it throws error saying "Select element is missing DSCaption".

Error Messages



"Select element is missing DSCaption"


Steps to Reproduce



1) Create a Report definition rule.
2) Report Definition rule pulls data from table A.
3) Include a join to table B and include the corresponding property e.g. B.UserName in the Report Definition.
4) Add a Dynamic Select control inside a Section rule. Source for the Dynamic Select as Report Definition.
5) Reference the property B.
UserName in "Property for Option Display" and "Property for Option Value."
6) On the portal, you will receive this error "Select element is missing DSCaption."



Resolution



Wrap the property specified in the ‘Property for Option Display’ field around quotes e.g. "B.UserName"
