Dynamic tabs do not work in Internet Explorer browser

SA-92363

Summary

In the Internet Explorer browser, the Dynamic tab content overlaps the entire Pega portal (left Navigation panel and the Header). This works in the Chrome browser.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a portal with a Screen Layout - Header, Left Panel, and WorkArea.
  2. Configure the Left Panel such that it contains menu items which can be opened as tabs in the WorkArea.
  3. Configure the WorkArea to include a Dynamic tab group (similar to the Developer portal) to open cases or assignments in different tabs.
  4. Log in to the Pega application in the Internet Explorer browser.
  5. Open multiple assignments or cases.

Root Cause

The WorkArea overlapped the header and the left Navigation menu due to the 'position:absolute' style provided for the '.ie .iframe-wrapper iframe' selector.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Add the below CSS in the UserWorkForm:

<style>
.ie #workarea[data-mode="Tabbed"] .iframe-wrapper iframe{
    position:static;
}
</style>
