Edit validate is not working when referred from another class

Summary



Edit validate was not triggering when it is referred from a different class.

Configuration: A section is created with a property that is configured with edit validate rule, the section's flow action is referred in a Local action to display it in a overlay, it also has refresh section action set configured in addition to the local action.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a property in data layer with any edit validate rule.
2. Create a section in work layer with button in it.
3. Configure the click with local action ,in local action configure a flow action to open as overlay.
4. On the flow action refer a section(section 3) .Section 3 uses the edit validate property of the data class through reference.
5. Onchange configure refresh action for the section3.
6. Run the flow, the edit validate is not firing for the section in the overlay.

 

Root Cause



The thread in which the property exists is having no class name in the clipboard.

Resolution

Assigning class name to the thread, by calling a pre-activity in the flow action.
