Edit Validate rule malfunctioning for mandatory check

Summary



Open an edit validate rule.
Provide the Property to be validate , click on add/edit column beside the property to enter validation conditions.
Enable check box for mandatory check .
Clicking enable conditions is optional.
Click Submit , the pop up closes .
Mandatory mark appears under the conditions column.
Click save rule .
Re-click save rule

the mandatory check is removed automatically., changes undone, check box made false.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open an edit validate rule.
  2. Provide the Property to be validate , click on add/edit column beside the property to enter validation conditions.
  3. Enable check box for mandatory check .
  4. Clicking enable conditions is optional.
  5. Click Submit , the pop up closes .
  6. Mandatory mark appears under the conditions column.
  7. Click save rule .
  8. Re-click save rule
  9. Observe mandatory check is removed automatically., changes undone, check box made false.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules  RH_1.pyValidationValues(1).pyValidations(1).pyRequired setting to empty value in Embed-ValidationValue.pzAppendValidatePropertyRightColumns activity.

Assigning .pyRequiredTemp to .pyRequired
