Editable grid causes dirty form warning after changes are saved

Summary



The user configures a grid with "inline edit". When user double clicks on a row in the grid, the user can edit a column in the grid. There is an activity configured to run on grid update and save the record to database. Now, when the user double clicks a row and edits a column, the record updates in the database. When the user tries to go to another screen by clicking a menu item in the left panel, the screen throws a dirty check popup even though there is no unsaved work in the screen.

Error Messages



You are about to close an open work item which has changes that have not been saved.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Repeat Grid.
  2. Configure Inline edit option for one of the column.
  3. All an activity to save the changes for onchange event.
  4. Try navigate to other menus.

Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Include OOTB section pxDisableClientDirtyDetection in the section where the issue is seen.
