Email Listener not able to read body of the email in HTML format



Users use Email Listener to read the email and expect the email body (pyBody) to be read in plain text format like others i.e. pySubject, pyFrom and pyTo etc. However, after users have upgraded their MS exchange server from 2003 to 2010, email body is in HTML format.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

Use Email Listener to read the email and check Email body (pyBody).

Root Cause

For MS 2010 exchange server, there is an IMAP setting which needs to be modified.


Make the following change on user’s MS 2010 exchange server:
Go to user mailbox setting for IMAP. Select “HTML and alternative text” as the Message MIME format.
