Email listener unable to process the emails with blank body

Whenever an email of "text/plain" type with no content in the body gets consumed from Microsoft Exchange 2010 email server, the Email listener is unable to process the email.  Error appears on screen and in the log file. The email is not processed from the mail box.

If the same email is sent as HTML type, the email gets processed by the email listener.

Error Messages No content
LeaseEmailListener - Caught unexpected IOException. Will attempt to mark mail as 'seen'.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Send an email from the mail box to an account "X" with an attachment, content type as plain text, and blank message.
2. Configure an email listener to process the emails present in account "X."

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules:
When the email has no contents in body, the flow stops with exception due to which the email is not processed.
