Emails without body content return errors

SA-31227

Summary



Whenever an email of "text/plain" type with no content in the body gets consumed from the email server, the email listener is unable to process the email. An error appears in the log file. The email is not processed from the mail box.
 

Error Messages



Java.io.IOException: No content EmailListener - Caught unexpected IO Exception.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Send plain text email with attachment to email listener.
  2. Email will fail to process.


Root Cause



When the email is sent using text/plain content type and the body is not having any content then exception handling is missing.

Resolution



Apply HFix-30804 to resolve this issue. This Hotfix was ported to Pega 7.1.9 from HFix-23068 (created for Pega 7.1.7) .
