End other session to Release Lock not working properly



"End other session to Release Lock" button is not releasing the lock.     

Users logged in with same user in different nodes and locked a case using one session.

When they try to open using other session, System would present by giving “End other session to Release Lock” option, but when Clicked on the button even after waiting for several minutes lock is not getting release.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Login with an user on a nodes.
2. Lock the case using one session
3. Try to open the same case using other session. System would present - "End other session to Release Lock" button.
4. Click on the button and wait for lock to get released.

Root Cause

WorkObject locks are maintained at node’s local cache (to avoid frequent database hits), which is updated by system pulse agent.

Hence, WorkObject lock is not released from other session as system pulse agent is not enabled in that node.


Enabling system pulse agent in all nodes will resolve the issue.
