EndUser unable to view “Add Report” button in My Reports section



When the user's operator instance does not select the 'Allow rule check out' checkbox, the 'Add Report' button does not display in the My Reports section.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the User portal.
  2. Navigate to Reports on the left pane. On the right pane, the 'Add Report' button does not display.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules:

The ‘pzReportEditingIsAllowed’ When rule is invoked for the ‘Add Report’ button visibility. 

The condition IF: @RuleManagement.RuleSetRequiresCheckout(AccessGroup.pyDevelopRuleSet) is evaluated to false becausae the Allow Rulecheckout option is enabled on the ruleset.
The ‘Default destination ruleset’ is the referred ruleset wihch is defined on the Access Group's Advanced tab.


Perform the following local-change: 

Deselect the Rule Checkout option on the ruleset (defined in ‘Default destination ruleset’ defined on the Access Group's Advanced tab).
