Error code 17447: OALL8 is in an inconsistent state: prod env



User have suddenly started facing inconsistency errors caused by SQL exceptions. User cannot reproduce the issue but seeing this error frequently in logs.

Steps to Reproduce


Root Cause

A third-party product issue.

User was using an outdated driver .

This exception "OALL8 is in an inconsistent state" is a generic exception that occurs in JDBC 10.1, 10.2, and 11.1.

It indicates that an internal inconsistency has been detected in the JDBC connection but it does not provide information on what caused the inconsistency.

This exception no longer occurs in JDBC 11.2.


User's environment was on Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release

User is suggested to upgrade the JDBC driver to 11.2.
