Error in log while sending Push Notifications to Mobile

Summary



A POC is performed with push notification feature.
The procedure in the below PDN article was followed.

In an application flow, smart shape “Push Notification” is used and then the flow is run.
On running that flow and reaching the assignment, the notification does not popup on screen in mobile device.


Error Messages



javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake
Caused by: java.io.EOFException: SSL peer shut down incorrectly

Root Cause



This feature does not work in OOTB Pega 7 App (downloaded from Google App store) currently due to certificate challenges.

Resolution



Use build server to create a custom app with custom mobile certificates.
