Error message displays on the log file. 


Error Messages


 

pega.pegarules.pub.database.DatabaseException: There was a problem getting a list: code: 0 SQLState: HY008 Message: The query has timed out.
DatabaseException caused by prior exception: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The query has timed out.
 | SQL Code: 0 | SQL State: HY008

 

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a section rule
  2. Click the Basic tab. 'No items' displays on the popup window


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. Dynamic System Setting (DSS) is not present.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Use the below Dynamic System Setting (DSS)

    Purpose: reporting/useForceOrderHint 
    Ruleset: Pega-RULES 
    Value: true 
    for ac 

    reporting/useForceOrderHintForRRandAC 
    ruleset: PEGA-RULES 
    value: true 

    Purpose: reporting/useMergeHintForRRquery 
    Ruleset: Pega-Reporting 
    Value: true

     
  2. Restart the node
