Error message does not show for Repeating Grid validation



Your application has a repeating grid with a Page List property as the source. When you validate the Page List using the Obj-Validate method, no error messages display on the screen. Instead, a red excalmation point displays. If you hover your pointer over the red exclamation point, you can see the error message, But when you stop hovering your pointer over the red exclamation point, the error message disappears .

  1. Design a repeating grid that uses a Page List property as its source.
  2. Validate the Page List property using the Obj-Validate method.

The reported behavior is working as designed.


Here is the explanation for the reported behavior:
The user interface for detecting errors in repeating grids is implemented with a error icon (the red exclamation point) that shows a warning message when you hover your pointer over the icon.
