Error occurs when embedding external application in to Pega app

SA-103950

Summary

Error occurs on embedding a legacy application (built for HTML4) in to the user built Pega application using an iFrame.

Error Messages

We are sorry, It appears the system cannot process your request at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Use the iFrame to embed a legacy application (built for HTML4, not the standard HTML5) in the user built Pega application.

Root Cause

A third-party product issue: Expected behavior of the Internet Explorer 11.

Resolution

Here's the explanation for the reported behavior:

The Internet Explorer 11 browser enforces the parent Document mode to its child or embedded iFrame Documents.

As a local-change, emulate the outer or Pega document that is running in the Standard mode (HTML5) to run in the Legacy Quirks mode (which is not supported beginning Pega 7 Platform).
