Error occurs when the './nodetool status' command is run

Summary



Error occurs when the './nodetool status' command is run. This occurs post upgrade to Pega 7.3.1.


Error Messages



Cassandra 2.0 and later require Java 7u25 or later.
-- This is the error received when trying to execute nodetool status command


Steps to Reproduce



Run the ./nodetool status command.


Root Cause



A software use or operation error. Cassandra should not be run on IBM Java.


Resolution

  1. Apply HFix-44049
  2. Install OpenJDK or Oracle Java in the system
  3. Set the command to run from OpenJDK or Oracle Java
