Summary
An error occurs when user with Internet Explorer 10, running in Standards mode, attempts to open an email attachment from a work item in Pega Care Management for Healthcare framework v7.11.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Log in to Pega 7.1.7 application with IE10 running in Standards mode.
2. Open a work item.
3. Open an email attachment to observe the error.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ HTML rule Data-Corr-Email.Show. This rule is final in the core Pega ruleset Pega-EndUserUI, but is overridden and made available in the framework ruleset PegaClinical.
The cause of the issue is usage of <SPAN> element nested in the <OBJECT> element that loads ActiveX controls to detect failure to load. Under IE10 and IE11 in Standards mode, this approach fails.
The core version was fixed in an earlier release, but the Pega framework override was not fixed.
Resolution
This issue is resolved by HFix-22528.
