The error symbol hides the newly entered data in text field

Summary



When a validation error symbol appears for text input due to failing some validation then if a user enters a string in the field, the alert error symbol will hide some characters of the beginning. The user cannot see the starting few characters of the entered text.

Error Messages



The error messages depends on the configuration.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a Validate rule for the property, which is going to be shown as Text input in the user interface(UI).
2. Check the "Required" Check-Box on the "Validation Conditions" pop-up for the property.
3. Do not check the "Required" Check-Box of the "General" tab of the configuration window of the Text input control.
4. Call the validate rule using a post activity of the related flow action rule.
5. At run time in the UI try to submit the page without entering any value in the text field. 
An alert symbol will appear.
6. Try to enter some text in the Text input field.

Root Cause



The current error icons face issues when placed inside of dynamic layouts.

Resolution



This issue is resolved in Pega 7.1.6.
