Error when attempting to run an Activity

Summary
You are unable to run activities from the Designer Studio. The error occurs before the run activity harness is displayed. That also that no activity in that specific application can be run directly.
Error Messages
On screen:
Section 'pxRunRecord' execution error on page 'RunRecordWindow' of class 'Pega-RunRecord'. Reason: unexpected character '/' at position 36, expected number or end of subscript.
Steps to Reproduce
- Try to run an activity from within the developer portal
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. All references to ‘D_pzRunRecord.pxRunWindow("+pxThread.pxThreadName+")’ have to be changed to ‘D_pzRunRecord.pxRunWindow("+@toJavaIdentifier(pxThread.pxThreadName)+")’ .
Resolution
This issue is scheduled to be resolved in Maintenance Level (ML) release - Pega 7.1.8.
