Error when searching distinct values for report browser

SA-20276

Summary

When user adds a filter to a report on a class mapped to external table, one can use the "Select Values" button to view the distinct values that are in that column.

This button launches a modal with all of the values that you can select and provides a Search box to filter that list even further.

When trying to search using the search box, it fails and does not show any results though the data exist.

Error Messages

There was a problem getting a list: code: 933 SQLState: 42000 Message: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a report definition in a class that is mapped to an external class.
  2. Add a filter condition and click on Select Values button.
  3. A modal window will appear with a list of values and a Search box.
  4. Enter a value into that search box that you are sure already exists in the list below and click on the magnifying glass.
  5. The list below is refreshed with no results found.

Root Cause

The error occurs in step of the pzGetAvailableValues when user is trying to see distinct values in an External table. This is because the pxObjClass is not an exposed column on the external table and the WHERE clause is not being created correctly.

Resolution

Apply HFix-26201.
