While trying to install Communication Foundation Framework (CFF) 7.17, encountered the errors below.

Error Messages

RULE-HTML-SECTION PEGACOMM- CUSTOMERPROFILEWORKHEADER #20150210T065723.931 GMT Save Failed: Database-General Cannot write property CustomerType to a decimal column--its value, "Company", is not a decimal

Steps to Reproduce

Import CFF_ApplicationBundle.jar file.

Root Cause

Customer instance already contains Client Lifecycle Managemen(CLMFS) and Know Your Customers (KYC) installed.

Designer studio search with "CustomerType" results in multiple properties.

Resolution

CustomerType property is present in both CLMFS (type: Integer) and CFF (type: Text) which is causing the conflict.

Multiple different apps on the same instance is causing the issue, this is not recommended, as different frameworks might have same property name mapped to different datatype.

User is suggested to have separate instance for CFF and follow the CFF installation guide and import the CFF jar on Pega 7.
